Narda G. Robinson, DO, DVM, MS, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Acupuncture and a Fellow of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture.  She is a 1990 graduate of the UCLA School of Medicine Continuing Medical Education course for physicians entitled, "Medical Acupuncture for Physicians".  She has been practicing human medical acupuncture since 1990 and veterinary medical acupuncture since 1996.

Dr. Robinson currently teaches and practices veterinary medical acupuncture at the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.  From 2006-2008, she held the Shipley Professorship in Complementary and Alternative Medicine at CSU, the first position of its kind in veterinary medicine.  Dr. Robinson is now the Director of the CSU Center for Comparative and Integrative Pain Medicine; she founded the Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians program in 1998.  She currently serves as vice-chair for the Board of Trustees of the American Board of Medical Acupuncture, which oversees board certification for physicians in this specialty. 

Dr. Robinson is involved in several research activities at CSU, including exploring the comparative neuroanatomy of acupuncture.  She is the complementary medicine columnist for Veterinary Practice News and has been a regular contributor to Cat Fancy magazine.  If you would like to read Dr. Robinson's prior publications in Veterinary Practice News, click here.

Many of the laboratory sessions take place on the Colorado State University (CSU) campus.  CSU and the CVMA present the Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians program as a conjoint endeavor, along with Dr. Robinson's teaching organization, the International Academy of Veterinary Medical Acupuncture, Inc.
